With his Children wanting to chat online at all hours (while occationally doing some homework) and his wife's desire to send and receive email at any time, Gordon created a fully integrated, wired and wireless network for his home that enables simultanious, high speed Internet connection from any location in the home; printing to a centrally location wireless printer that also serves as a network scanner; enjoyment of personally selected and broadband-streamed music to every computer; and the whole-house audio system. The family also relies on their network cameras to know when the lawn needs to be cut!

In 2010 the van Zuiden’s installed Lutrons RadioRA2 wireless lighting control system in their master bathroom to provide custom lighting and dimming scenes for their installed LED lights.

Custom motorized windows shades from Lutron were also installed. Now when it’s time for a relaxing bath a single button push on the Lutron keypad dims the lights, draws the shades and even lifts a TV from the side of the bath to provide entertainment.
